Vina Zorzal 2019 Graciano Navarra
Graciano is one of those grapes that doesn’t seek (or get) the limelight very often, but some of the world’s most sought-after and age-worthy Riojas rely on it for the structure that keeps them in it for the long haul.
Graciano tends towards bright fruit with fairly high acidity and tannins. all of which are seen here in perfect balance. The brothers in charge of Zorzal tend their vines lovingly and organically with minimal intervention. Young and unoaked, all of the focus is on the fruit. Zorzal shows a dense ripeness that jumps out of the glass but is fresh and lively at the same time. Well-integrated tannins, and a long finish.
